I'm actually quite busy lol, but I feel that I can't ignore what is going on.
Maybe I'm not qualified to say anything or to step into your matters,I may not even know the whole story, but based on what I read and the bits and pieces I assembled myself, I just hope the tension between you people will be dissolved soon :)
Life's too short.

Well, life is a very weird thing actually.
It gives you so much happiness and yet so much pain.
But to ease the pain, the key is to COPE.. properly.
You see, in life, we don't always get what we want.
We can't please everybody, and we can't expect everyone to please us.
You can try, but if it's too much burden or if the efforts are 'under-preciated',
pack up and leave.
We need people who can accept us as who we are, not who we show others.

Self-reflection is important.
Too less of it, may make you arrogant, oblivious even.
Self-worth is important.
Yet, too much of it may make you egotistic.
Having a stand on your belief is important.
But respecting other people's point of view is equally important.
Learn to accept things, or if you must change something, take baby steps.
What I've learnt in life is that rushing things thru usually ends up in back fire.

As for the 'criticisms', advises in those forms are the most hurtful yet the most powerful.
They can change a person. But the person receiving it must be open about it.
You see, some ppl don't even give a damn about others, others give too much.
So in the end of the day, it'll still be you to judge.
To reflect, to evaluate the truth in such comments.
To decide, whether it is for the better to change.

To the one who gives such 'criticisms',
remember to be kind in your words and gestures as well.
No matter what happens, always know that the human heart is fragile.
Everyone has dignity and ego & it's cruel to bruise it.

Just to clarify, I'm not taking sides or whatever.
Just wanted to say what's on my mind,
hopefully this msj reach you guys in a calm and harmonious manner :)

Friendship is a precious thing in life.
Especially those made in High School...
You guys will understand it one day, soon perhaps :)

For the record, I'm quite glad you guys chose to blog about your thoughts.
Truth be told, I did the same thing with my dear friend last time.
We posted our feelings and views and finally confronted each other.
Reconciliation.
Both of us changed in the end :)
we grew more mature in our thinking and
we learnt the value of understanding and tolerance.

once again, time flew by like a rocket.
It's already 01/01/2012!

as for my culture, I always sum up the year in a post :)
It is good, to look back at the year that passed,
reflect, ponder & treasure the achievements, experiences
but not forgetting to learn from our mistakes, disappointments as well.

Briefly, 2011 is pretty f*cked up year.
but well lived I guess?
oh! and I reached 100+ post in 2011! :D

had been feeling very down lately, due to the 'need' to go back to KK >.<
but it's ok now. Hope it continues to be that way.

In life, you dont always get what you want. This is true.
Many a times in life, we face difficulties, hurdles along the journey
and how we decide to deal with them can make a difference.

They said that:
"If you don't like something, change it. And if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."

So when things don't go your way and you can't do anything about it,
SUCK IT UP. stop whining!
Whining wouldn't make things better. Get your fair share of whines and move on.
Stop making life so difficult for other people.
Everyone is fighting their own battles as well. You are not alone.
Stop comparing yourself with others.
And definitely, don't expect people to clean up your shit every single time.
One day, when people stop helping you. You'll die.

As a child, be understanding to your parents.
We can't choose what kind of family we get born into.
But believe that God has His ways and His plans.
Grow in faith, deal with reality and stop wishing for things that 'COULD BE'.

ytdy's judge was awesome. GRILLED THE MOOTERS KAW KAW WHEY!

the judge was strict, sudden, high expectations... but he's good :) seriously.

makes me wanna join moot haha.. my time will come...
but then the commitment and research sure OMG one :X

# 17/11/2011- MMU moot competition begins :)

this time, got the chance to become a bailiff! excited and nervous giler!
stress oh! hahaha.. basically, a bailiff is like the emcee of the court room.. pressure-nye!
worse part, not feeling well at all ah! nausea, feverish and sore throat.

it was a great experience :) though I screwed up some stuff.

grrr... so paiseh oh.. lol... luckily the judge was friendly & forgiving? >.<
but I feel that between the many committees, need more collaborations.

that aside, got myself back pain for sitting straight for about 2 hours. =.=

about the moot...

hmmm... the mooters in my court room werent so prepared I think :/
and the respondents could have won.
if only they knew how to present and explain their points better.

many a times in life, we tell ourselves, "just a few more minutes...." and we end up using so much more of the time we allocated. I gotta learn proper and better time management. midterm is in 2 days and I feel like I've studied NOTHING at all. how can this happen? even though I've kept telling myself to work harder... to not slack so much... need to get back on my feet asap. the tutorials undone, the assignment workload closing in, notwithstanding the pressure from them too. uni life is tiring and hectic. I enjoy it.. really I do. but I just wished for more time. more and more time. That aside, I got involved as a bailiff for the 2011 moot competition in MMU. this meant commitment, time consuming but it also meant experience.

anyway, just taking "a few more minutes" to update on certain things :)
for those who are worried about my health, thankiu so much <3
I'm feeling much better, my back is getting better too.

thanks to my beloved Woofy! she's better at fixing me than the 2 doctors I went to.

my 1st volleyball lesson got me badly bruised.

my wrist was even swollen.

this was on Monday.

On Wed, I epicly fell down the platform.

sprained my back. f*cking pain.

the weekends were used to recuperate.

sobs. why oh why... I'm so clumsy )':

ytdy the back pain relapsed.

took away my sleep. can you imagine the pain?

to wake from your sleep because it just hurts so bad?

praying for a speedy recovery.

The Star Fish Story (once again)

lately, a blue bird told me that...

In this corrupted world, everything comes with a price.
There's no such thing as "just being nice".

well, that's not entirely true.

Thou the chances are low, but there definitely still exist people who would "just be nice".

But then again, it's up to you to evaluate whether they are really tat nice,

or they have other intentions rite..?

Positivism wins over negativism any time.

As corrupted as the world is now, there's not much harm to believe in this.

Be optimistic about the world, even when most circumstances indicates otherwise.

Because, when everyone turns pessimistic, those circumstances deteriorate.

So then, after much pondering and reflection,

a story I heard before popped into my mind.

It's called "The Star Fish Story." (I blogged about it before in 2008)

The Summary of the Story:

One day, it was low-tide at the beach and numerous star fish were washed ashore. Since star fish need water to survive, a man started to pick up the star fish. One by one, he flung them back into the sea. After a while, another man approached him and said, "Stop it. This is pointless. It wouldn't make a difference, the tides will bring them back to shore again." The man looked at him. Picked up another star fish and flung it into the sea. Looking at that direction, he replied, "I made a difference to that one."

After this story, for me, it did help me to be kinder to people.

Everyone has their own problems, never stop being kind/nice.

Because even if it's just that small deed, it can mean a lot

and can make a difference in other people's life.

This is what I believe in ^^

But it aint easy to be nice all the time.
People tend to take you for granted and you may feel depreciated.

But then again, the gateway to Heaven is narrow and tough as compared to the gateway to Hell.

Real rewards will be given in the afterlife :)

- I experienced my 1st "panic attack" in my 18 years of life.

I dunno if any of you experienced it before, but it's really creepy!
I went blank. totally blank. Like under the influence of amnesia dust. @@

and this shit is horrendous, esp when it happens the night before exam.

all the memorised facts and cases, principles. ALL GONE.

I couldn't calm myself down. at all..! tears just kept flowing )':

and this rarely happens, which makes me even more panicky.
tried to find company, but all attempts failed :/
praying wasn't really working either.

took out the Bible, read a paragraph and forced myself to sleep.

Thou it was a very depressing night, God never fails.

I woke up at 4.15am to study and I found a really sweet text :)

"may my love for you will make your exam question easier...
lol... dono where is that coming from anyways..."

totally different from foundation, esp in terms of syllabus load.

frankly, I'm scared. lol... anyway, gonna just do my best :)

worst GPA for Sem3 :/ worst grades.

I dont get why I can get that grade lor, I feel that I answered fine. damn!

huhuhuhu... mummy was disappointed :( but she said, nvm. lol.

haihh. anyway, SCREW IT lah. i'm not gonna cry over it. was just pissed.

the utmost loneliness is not one that you experience when being alone.

I'm feeling very edgy again.

it's hard to stop feeling like that some times?

I hate myself for being so easily influenced by others.

why? I really wonder. (in fact, I know the answer- I care too much)

Often than not, I feel that I'm a strong person, mentally at least.

as a girl, physical strength can be limited :/ nid I say more? haha.

anyway, but just a random thought... as I look back to certain parts of my life, I felt so vulnerable. It wasn't anything huge or what.. but just nvr thought that Joanna Ling would ever really be in such a state. Imagine that! I shocked myself. Thou, i've accepted that.. but I really don't like the feeling of being vulnerable. It makes me feel weak, hopeless, needy. I'm suppose to be the one whom people depend on. That's just the kind of friend I am. I wan to be a person who can stand on her own despite all the shit life has to offer but then again, at the same time, at some point, I guess I hoped someone would be thr for me to depend on too. I know there are people who are and will be thr for me, but I'm honestly telling you, it's either fate or luck, most of the time, the timing aint good and I oways, oways... choose to just let it settle deep inside. that's the problem I presume. that's why I'm learning to open up.

To the people whom I expose my weaknesses to,

just a note: if I come off as being a damn weak wuss, screw you.

It's just that I'm strong enough.

Who are you to judge?

To my best frends:
it's not that I dont trust you or I don't treat you fren enough,

it's just becz I grew up with Middle Child Syndrome- tendency to feel overlooked,

which made me unsure of how to express my thots and feelings.

so please... just bear with me, be patient with me and give me a push when I need it.

I may come off as someone unapproachable and distant becz..

then met Blueberry ^^ and go eat dinner with CSS and some altar servers.

Mass ended at arnd 12.45am LOL. then went for a drink, reached home 2am.

Wanted to sleep at 3am.. then Karine called! XD

then talk until arnd 5.30am? ki-siao-ness.
Woke at 8.30am and went for Easter Mass.

zombieness sial. LOL.

but the deacon was epic and the sermon was good.. I guess.

anyway, Bazinga Group's Water Balloon Carnival was a blast :D
thou it wasnt as great but well, it wasnt as bad ;)

really thank God for the AWEZUM weather!

Well, Friday was ok :)
went n meet Ms.Chin for academic essay.

She rejected our published articles. danngg.

and she kept talking abt drama. (Cut us some slack lah -.-)

anyway, Friday was chores day! URGH. I hate chores day = =
mopped & vacuum-ed my room :D

Saturday was imba wasted.

Haha, hours and hours on the computer.

Facebook, (not like it was so interesting, but yeah, you just slack)

Tumblr, (I quite miss it. haha, lots of FUNNY gifs. XD)

Twitter, (well, it's just tweets :P)

after that we went for church,

So ytdy was the drama competition.

The competition itself was literally our 4th practice!

OMG. we're awesome lah. hahaha.

Script was still being amended on tat day,

the props was finally done at arnd 2pm,

throughout props prep, I saw paint fly trice!

1st- CLC concourse

2nd- landed on me (luckily hand only!)

3rd- landed on Fuad. lol his jeans :S

Toriq kicked the water container for the brushes...

oh, and my kicap bottle broke into 2! damn epic, it's nt even glass! haha!

Tues practice was from 10pm to 2.30am,

Wed practice was from 5pm to 1.30am,

Thurs practice was from 11am to 6.30pm

Competition at 7pm.

what a hectic time!

but for what's it's worth, I'm sure we all had a great time~

We had times that we felt like giving up, times that we encouraged each other to hold on, times of intense laughter & times when we feel like we had snapped (lost sanity). We've faced many hurdles along this competition, especially time constraints, but hell yeah :) we did it. we did our best in the given circumstances.

Even though we didnt make it to the semi-finals, the memories are priceless! ♥

I'm damn proud of all of you! ♥

I'm really glad that we were able to do this together :)

wheee! Finally done with the drama plot!
& i done my part of the script ;) hehe.

anyway, just wanted to update abt well, technically this weekend!
So, yeah, I went out with my fren again on Sat ^^
talked a lot, walked a bit.. but he very lol. so fast tired de. haha!
funny lah him.

then he joined me for my drama meeting :)

Modiot was like, "seriously, whr do you get all these kids?"

HAHAHA. pokey and him sure can be bff. 8 years olds :P

He damn funny lah.. living in his own world jiang..

"adults" discussing thr.. then he suddenly, "what the hell man." LOL.

he playing game on my ipod... lol. few times he laughed to himself too.
